The word Jeep in name of the rally has nothing to do with the car company Jeep. This rally is sponsored by or for exclusive use of Jeep.vehicles. In Pakistan, the name/word Jeep has been used interchangeably for off-roads vehilces or SUVs. It is not common to hear phrase like" I have a Toyota Land Cruiser Jeep, or I driven a Nissan Patrol Jeep"

The purpose to hold this event in he heart of the cholistan desert to show outside world its history and rich culture and open this area as winter tourist destination.It is anticipated that  event will receive wide spread protection in electronic and print media 

Cholistan culture 

In 2019, the rally is set to happen between 14 to 18 February 2019. This year more than 100 drivers would be competing including Nadar Magsi one of the most renowned driver in Pakistan

The Fluidity of  Cholistan Jeep Rally

• Cholistan Jeep Rally is a rally of raid tpye of off road race, organized by TDCP in Pakistan.
• The Event is run annually in the Cholistan Dessert Venue. It was first introduced in 2005 by Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab. The event is run by the Government of Punjab. The rally initiates near the Derawer Fort in Ahamdpur East Tehsil. Around 100 drivers and team from all over Pakistan participate and almost 100,000 visitors witness it every year.
